Monarch's Great Journey

Monarch's Great Journey

In a colorful meadow, there is a monarch butterfly named Manny. Manny has always dreamed of joining the Great Migration. By next spring, Manny will have completed his journey to the warm southern lands.

Manny starts his preparation early. “I will have gathered enough nectar for the trip by the end of this week,” he tells his friend, Bella the bee. Bella smiles and replies, “And I will have finished making honey by then.”

Every day, Manny practices his flying skills. “By the time we leave, I will have strengthened my wings,” he says to himself. His friends cheer him on. “You will have become a great flyer, Manny,” they say.

As the departure date approaches, Manny feels both excited and nervous. “What if I haven’t prepared enough?” he wonders. But he reminds himself, “I will have done my best.”

The night before the migration, all the butterflies gather in the meadow. “By tomorrow morning, we will have begun our long journey,” the leader announces. Manny looks around at his friends and feels ready.

During the migration, Manny enjoys the sights and sounds of the trip. He knows that by the end of the journey, he will have seen many beautiful places. “This will have been the adventure of a lifetime,” he thinks.

Finally, they reach their destination. Manny lands on a flower and reflects on his journey. “We will have traveled thousands of miles,” he says proudly. “And we will have made memories that last forever.”

Back in the meadow, Manny shares his experiences with the younger butterflies. “Next year, you will have the chance to join the Great Migration,” he tells them. “And by then, I will have learned even more to share with you.”
