Affirmative Sentences

Structure:

Subject + Base form of verb (add ‘s’ or ‘es’ for third person singular)

Examples:

  1. I: I eat breakfast at 7 AM.
  2. You: You play soccer on weekends.
  3. He: He watches TV in the evening.
  4. She: She writes a letter every day.
  5. It: It rains a lot in spring.
  6. We: We go to the gym every morning.
  7. They: They read books in the library.
  8. John: John watches TV in the evening.
  9. Sarah: Sarah writes a letter every day.
  10. John and Sarah: John and Sarah read books in the library.

Negative Sentences

Structure:

Subject + Do/Does + Not + Base form of verb

Examples:

  1. I: I do not (don’t) eat breakfast at 7 AM.
  2. You: You do not (don’t) play soccer on weekends.
  3. He: He does not (doesn’t) watch TV in the evening.
  4. She: She does not (doesn’t) write a letter every day.
  5. It: It does not (doesn’t) rain a lot in spring.
  6. We: We do not (don’t) go to the gym every morning.
  7. They: They do not (don’t) read books in the library.
  8. John: John does not (doesn’t) watch TV in the evening.

Do/Does + Subject + Base form of verb + ?
